In 1958, USA engineer and ski racer Ed Scott transformed the skiing industry by inventing the tapered aluminium ski pole. It wasn’t until 1989 that SCOTT ventured into the realm of cycling innovations however that year SCOTT introduced the aerodynamic handlebar, and along the way helped Greg Lemond in his 1989 Tour De France win!
Since then, SCOTT has pioneered the use of suspension technology in bikes and broke world records for the lightweight frames. In 1998 SCOTT created the G-Zero – the lightest full suspension mountain bike worldwide at that time. In 2005 SCOTT presented the lightest triathlon frame on the market and in 2011 their innovative creations SCOTT became the first company, in partnership with Bosch, to offer an easy to use and stylish E-Bike.
